Dr. Suhail B. Masadeh,
DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Suhail B. Masadeh, DPM, FACFAS is an Academic Podiatrist, currently serves as Chief of Surgical Podiatry at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati and as Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Previously, he held leadership positions as Chief and Residency Program Director of Podiatric Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, where he oversaw surgical training and curriculum development. He is an academic podiatric surgeon specializing in complex diabetic limb reconstruction, orthoplastic surgery, and advanced foot and ankle reconstruction. His surgical practice & research concentrates on Orthoplastic Limb Preservation for diabetic patients, utilizing peripheral nerve surgery and soft tissue reconstruction. He has been awarded honors for innovation & research from the Department of Veterans Affairs and from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is an active recipient of Department of Defense research funding for rapid single agent infection treatment to reduce amputations in diabetic patients, and the role of remote temperature monitoring to reduce diabetic amputation rates.

Dr. Masadeh received his BS from the University of Cincinnati, graduating with distinction of Dean’s List Honors. Subsequently, he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating with Dean’s List Honors, and bestowed the Wiseman Award for Surgical Excellence and the Excellence in Clinical Research Award.

Dr. Masadeh completed his residency in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at Saint Vincent Charity Hospital- Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, and the American Health Network of Indiana Advanced Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, Indianapolis, Indiana. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery in Foot, Ankle & Rearfoot Surgery. He is an active member of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Internationally recognized for his expertise, as a national & international educator, Dr. Masadeh has provided 65 academic lectures nationally in 12 states, & internationally in eight countries spanning four continents. He has published 35 manuscripts/book chapters and presented 20 poster presentations. For his tireless educational endeavors in Africa, he is appointed as Adjunct Faculty for The Professional Diploma in Limb Reconstructive Surgery and Correction of Deformity of Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Masadeh has provided humanitarian public health Orthoplastic Limb Preservation surgical care on seven missions in both Honduras and Columbia, South America.

Through his role as surgeon, researcher and educator, Dr. Masadeh continues to advance the field of diabetic foot and limb reconstruction, with a focus on improving outcomes for high-risk patients worldwide.
