Membership is open to licensed healthcare professionals, residents, and students with an interest in orthoplastic and limb preservation medicine.

The public area of the Orthoplastic Limb Preservation Society website provides open access to key information about our members and the mission of the Society. Visitors may view a public directory of OLPS members, including professional background, short biographies, accomplishments, CVs, and business or practice information for those members who choose to share it publicly. This directory helps potential patients and families connect with qualified healthcare professionals who specialize in limb preservation and orthoplastic care.

Public visitors can also access our Patient page - including the contact form for individuals seeking assistance in finding an appropriate healthcare provider - as well as descriptions of our Board, our philanthropic initiatives, and our industry sponsors who help support the Society’s work.

However, public users cannot access the private members-only area, which is reserved exclusively for healthcare professionals. This private space includes clinical case discussions, peer-to-peer educational exchanges, and other professional resources intended only for verified members of the Society.

Membership Types

For learners in medical or health programs who are beginning their journey.

Application Fee: $250

Eligibility

Enrolled in a professional or graduate medical/allied health program.
Not yet in residency, fellowship, or post-graduate clinical/research training.
Interest in exposure to limb preservation and opportunities for early academic or research participation.

For medical and health trainees gaining advanced skills and early academic experience.

Application Fee: $250

Eligibility:

Currently in residency, fellowship, or a structured post-graduate traineeship/research appointment.
Open to all clinical and health disciplines connected to limb preservation.
Actively involved in clinical training with opportunities for case discussions, research projects, and academic development.

For early-career professionals beginning independent practice and building their scholarly presence.

Application Fee: $500

Eligibility:

Completed residency, fellowship, or post-graduate training.
Within 0–5 years of independent practice or first faculty/clinical appointment.
Open to all clinical and health disciplines connected to limb preservation.
Engagement in clinical programs, publications, or research collaborations is highly encouraged at this level.

For established professionals recognized for leadership, scholarship, and sustained contributions.

Application Fee: $500

Eligibility:

More than 5 years in independent clinical practice or senior academic appointment.
Open to all clinical and health disciplines connected to limb preservation.
Distinguished by meaningful contributions in research, program leadership, publications, education, or innovation within limb preservation.
Subject to review and verification of professional credentials prior to induction.

For global clinicians, trainees, and allied health professionals dedicated to advancing orthoplastic limb preservation across Latin America, Europe, the Pan-Arab region, the Indian Subcontinent, and all other world regions.

Application Fee: $500

Eligibility:

Open to all levels of training and practice for health professionals involved in limb preservation worldwide.
Must demonstrate an interest in orthoplastic principles, limb salvage, trauma reconstruction, or related clinical or academic domains.
Engagement in research, education, humanitarian initiatives, or clinical innovation within limb preservation is encouraged but not required.
Subject to review and verification of professional or academic standing prior to approval
