Dr. David A. Ehrlich, MD
David A. Ehrlich, MD is Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Temple University Katz School of Medicine/Fox Chase Cancer Center, focusing on limb preservation and cancer reconstruction. Previously, he served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Ehrlich attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, achieving Dean’s List Graduation Honors. He then was awarded a Nathaniel Kleitman Summer Fellowship in Human Circadian Biology, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA., and completed a Harvard University Extension Post-Baccalaureate Health Careers Program. Dr. Ehlich subsequently earned his MD from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Scholar. He graduated with distinction & inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Ehrlich completed a Residency in General Surgery and a Residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine. He also completed the Penn Medicine Fellowship in Reconstructive Plastic Microsurgery in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Ehrlich’s research has included that of plastic reconstruction & microsurgery in limb preservation, as well as the effect of space travel on health at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard University. He also owns & operates Ehrlich Plastic Surgery, a highly respected reconstructive plastic surgery practice in Center City Philadelphia. Dr. Ehrlich lectures and has published numerous papers on plastic and orthoplastic surgery.
